Amy Dunnachie

Amy's jewellery tells a tale of childhood antics, nostalgia and the heartwarming naivety of bloom. The driving force behind which is an enchantment with story telling - the storage of fond memories, the embellishing and reconstruction of our pasts, a means of unleashing our imaginations and getting lost in the magic...

Amy works with found objects in all areas of her design and making process, playfully exploring material and form and encouraging the breath of new life into old narratives. Collating materials such as photographs, collected wood and silver, brass and copper, Amy both frames and unravels her 3 dimensional stories. Her delicate focus on details such as screws, nuts and rivets echo themes of a hands on youth free from the grasp of technology, whilst also reflecting the patchwork quality of memory.
