Craig Macauley

My work is primarily focused on my interest in exploring and manipulating different materials. By creating jewellery out of nylon and resin I hope to challenge peoples perceptions of the qualities and uses of these materials. The inspiration behind the Dewdrop range of jewellery was the discovery of the process of creating the individual strands of resin-coated nylon. The design of the pieces was also informed by the way early morning dew clings to spider webs and traditional beaded tribal jewellery.
